We completed a full front porch replacement and deck build for this residence in Pittsburgh. The project began with the removal of the original deteriorating structure and the excavation of new footings to ensure a stable foundation. We then framed a new structural deck using pressure-treated lumber and installed a new ledger board against the existing brick facade. For the finish, we installed high-durability decking and a new porch roof featuring a beadboard ceiling and custom dark trim. We integrated a gabled roofline covered with matching shingles and a robust underlayment system to prevent future moisture issues. The final result is a functional, weather-resistant outdoor space that complements the home's original masonry.
