Roof Replacement with Open Metal Valleys in Bennington, NE
This Bennington home needed more than a fresh layer of shingles. Once the old roof came off, our crew sheeted the deck with new OSB so every nail had solid wood to grab. We used three synthetic underlayments on this job: FT Synthetics Silver, Tri-Built, and TopShield SG-30. Where the two main roof planes meet, we ran an open metal valley, because that is the channel that carries the most water when a summer storm hits. New flashing went in along the sidewalls, then dark architectural shingles and a continuous ridge vent so the attic can breathe in July and stay drier in January.
