We completed a full tear down and replacement of an elevated deck for this red brick residence in Lewisburg. After removing the weathered wood structure and lattice railing, we excavated and poured new concrete footings to support a fresh pressure-treated lumber frame. We ensured the new structure was properly integrated with the home by installing a flashed ledger board and sturdy timber support posts. We utilized grey wood-look composite decking boards for a durable, low-maintenance surface that will withstand the elements. The project was finished with a sleek black metal railing system, providing a modern aesthetic and improved safety for the upper level. This rebuild successfully transformed the outdoor space into a secure and functional area above the existing concrete patio.
