Albuquerque Tar and gravel replaced with Slope and TPO Membrane System
We completed a full roof conversion for this Albuquerque residence, replacing an aging tar and gravel system with a modern TPO membrane. Our team began by removing the existing gravel roof, celotex and layers of foam insulation. The wooden decking was checked for integrity. We addressed several areas of deteriorated decking to ensure a stable foundation for the new roofing system. The installation included a custom EPS taper slope to improve drainage. This meets the manufacturer's specifications as well as local building code. Then we installed a single-ply TPO membrane across the entire low-slope surface, carefully flashing around multiple HVAC units, evaporative coolers, and plumbing vents. This updated system provides superior leak protection and good drainage.
