Non-Friable Asbestos Abatement and Mold Remediation

As a part of this hospitals regular facilities maintenance and upgrade schedule, EASE was tasked with abatement of asbestos containing VCT floor tile. Though the removal methods were to be non-friable, EASE worked hand in hand with a 3rd party consulting air monitor and the hospital's infectious control manager. The abatement of multiple layers of floor tile and the associated mastic was successful, but in the process, mold was found to be present in some of the work areas. EASE brought this to the attention of the hospital and worked quickly to create a remediation plan that included complete mold remediation and repairs. The project was a success and the hospital was able to quickly and correctly get their repairs completed. Despite the unforeseen circumstances, the team effort led to minimizing the impact to their overall schedule.
