A Water-Damaged Space Reimagined Into a Luxurious Retreat This North Raleigh bathroom began with significant water damage and required thoughtful demolition and reconstruction. Our team removed the damaged materials in the shower area and in the space where the old built-in tub once stood, taking those sections down to the studs. From there, we reimagined the entire bathroom to create a warm, elegant, spa-like retreat. We redesigned and expanded the shower, extending it slightly forward to make the room feel more open. The new full corner-glass enclosure adds light, elegance, and a modern touch. The bulky built-in tub was replaced with a beautiful freestanding soaking tub, perfectly framed by a new wall niche finished in the same tile used in the shower for a cohesive, luxurious look. The old wallpaper was fully removed, and we carefully repaired and prepared the remaining walls to achieve a smooth, flawless surface. The walls were painted in a soft, creamy beige tone, creating an inviting foundation for the new design. To elevate the space further, we added decorative square wall trim with a chair-rail detail, giving the bathroom a refined architectural finish. The two original vanities—including one with an odd shape—were replaced with graceful furniture-style vanities selected to match the updated color palette we helped the homeowner choose. A modern toilet, gold fixtures, and beautifully coordinated tile complete the transformation. What was once a dated, cramped, and damaged bathroom is now a bright, luxurious, and serene retreat.
