A Pathway to Personality – A Two-Tone Kitchen Transformation in Apex

In this Apex kitchen remodel, the homeowner wanted more function, more beauty, and a space that truly reflected their personality. By keeping the original cabinet boxes and replacing the doors with modern shaker-style fronts, we were able to give the kitchen a custom, refreshed look without a full tear-out. The island, previously without seating, was reimagined with an extended countertop—creating a new space for casual dining and conversation. A beautiful apron-front sink and bold black faucet were installed, adding both charm and functionality. We embraced color in this project. The base cabinets were painted a deep hunter green, while the uppers were painted a lighter complementary green—adding depth and visual interest. All cabinetry, doors, and trim were custom-painted for a cohesive, polished result. The plantation shutters and folding pantry doors were also painted to match the trim, tying the entire room together. Additional upgrades included: A stunning new backsplash to bring texture and brightness Full flooring replacement for a clean, updated foundation New recessed lighting on dimmers for adjustable ambiance Under-cabinet lighting for task illumination and warmth A new overhead light above the dining table for added elegance This kitchen now balances beauty and function, showcasing how smart updates, thoughtful color choices, and creative layout changes can completely redefine a space.
