This kitchen remodel in Cary focused on maximizing function and refreshing the look while keeping the original cabinetry intact. We replaced all cabinet doors and drawer faces with clean, shaker-style fronts and custom-painted everything—new and existing—for a unified, updated appearance. One of the most impactful changes was to the peninsula. Originally built with a raised bar top, we lowered the surface to a single level and extended it by six inches. This gave the homeowners more usable counter space and made the seating area more comfortable and open. We also removed the outdated built-in desk and replaced it with new cabinetry that perfectly matched the rest of the kitchen—same shaker style, same paint finish—for added storage and seamless design.
