A Pathway to Serenity: From Moisture Issues to a Spa-Inspired Retreat in Holly Springs

This bathroom remodel began with a call from homeowners concerned about persistent humidity and water leakage around their shower. Upon inspection, it became clear that moisture issues had taken a toll on the space. What started as a repair evolved into a full transformation—one that balanced function, beauty, and the client’s unique design vision. We began by removing the old shower, vanity, and outdated vent fan. The vent was replaced with a modern lighted fan with a higher CFM rating to significantly improve air circulation and reduce. New lighting and a mirror were added to brighten the space and provide a clean, updated look. Although we replaced much of the bathroom, the client wanted to preserve the original flooring. Fortunately, they had extra boxes of the same material, which we carefully used to blend the new and existing floor seamlessly. A major visual upgrade came with the shower. We replaced the standard window above the shower with a reinforced glass block picture window—providing privacy while allowing light to flow in. The new tiled shower features a striking green tile base and a matching green accent in the shower niche. To complement this, we had the green tile color color-matched and mixed to 50% strength by Sherwin-Williams for a subtle, coordinated wall color. Additional highlights include: A custom shaving niche for functionality A secondary tiled niche near the shower faucet A stylish half-glass panel and sliding shower door with opaque privacy glass A brand-new dual vanity, updated lighting, and a custom-selected mirror The result is a serene and cohesive bathroom filled with fresh color, practical upgrades, and custom touches. The clients were thrilled with how it all came together—proof that smart design and attention to detail can turn a moisture problem into a soothing, spa-like retreat.
