We replaced an aging, weathered wood deck with a modern composite structure in Kirkland. The project began with the demolition of the old, peeling wooden boards and the replacement of failing support posts to ensure long-term structural integrity. We then reinforced the framing and installed new joists to support a multi-level layout. For the new surface, we used tan TimberTech composite decking for a durable and low-maintenance finish. We also integrated a black metal railing system for a contemporary look and added under-deck drainage to protect the patio area below. The final result is a functional, multi-story outdoor living space that significantly improves the home's utility and value.
