We completed an Annual Boat Lift Service & Inspection on this 7,000 lb Tide Tamer boat lift in Oriental, NC. As part of our service, our technician performed a comprehensive inspection of the lift's mechanical and electrical components, including motor amperage testing, voltage checks, cables, pulleys, hardware, and control system operation. The lift was cleaned, lubricated, adjusted where needed, and tested through multiple operating cycles to verify proper operation. To better accommodate the customer's new bay boat, we adjusted the bunks and guide assemblies for proper fit and alignment. We also replaced two offshore J-bolts and repaired wiring inside the control switches to ensure reliable operation. During the inspection, we identified age-related wear in the dockside Hatteras drive and documented our findings with recommendations for future repairs. Providing customers with a clear understanding of their lift's condition helps them plan ahead, avoid unexpected breakdowns, and keep their equipment operating safely and reliably.
