We addressed a significant water intrusion event at this residential property in Oak Lawn. Our team performed extensive water extraction to remove standing liquid from the crawlspace, which had submerged the concrete foundation and support piers. We worked to clear the murky, sediment-filled water to expose the structural components for a thorough moisture assessment. We deployed submersible pumps for the initial extraction and utilized high-velocity air movers to dry the concrete floor, wooden joists, and HVAC ductwork. To protect the home’s interior, we used drop cloths and containment measures while navigating the tight access points. This process stabilized the moisture levels and helped mitigate further damage to the subflooring and framing.
