Baker Park is a great example of turning an unfortunate situation into something even better than the original. We originally installed Playground Grass Ultra at this playground in 2023, creating a safe, clean, and low-maintenance play surface for the community. Unfortunately, just two years later, the park experienced vandalism when multiple areas of the turf were intentionally burned, damaging both the turf and the underlying SafetyFoam padding. Rather than simply patching the damaged areas, we worked closely with the playground vendor and Parks Department to come up with a more creative solution. We replaced the affected sections using Playground Grass Ultra in Lagoon Blue, transforming what could have been visible repair patches into a purposeful design feature. The flowing blue elements now add visual interest throughout the playground, giving the space a refreshed, custom look. The result is a playground that not only meets all safety requirements again, but now stands out even more—proving that with the right approach, even setbacks can lead to something better than before.
