Shingle Roof Transformation on Historic Inn
Recently, we had the privilege of replacing the asphalt shingle roof on the historic White Doe Inn in Downtown Manteo. Owners, Dave and Tonia Roberts, chose to install Golden Harvest Timberline HDZ shingles by GAF. These high definition shingles added even more dimension to the home that was already abounding in charm and unrivaled craftsmanship. The White Doe Inn was constructed in 1910 by local builders John Wilson and Joe Dailey for Theodore S. Meekins and his family. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984, noted for its architectural and historic significance. Today, Innkeepers Dave & Tonia Roberts strive to revive that era of traveler comfort and camaraderie. Each guest room and suite is unique. They feature family heirlooms, antiques, and special architectural details. To find out more about this award winning inn or to make a reservation visit https://www.whitedoeinn.com.
