During our walkthrough of the autobody repair facility, we inspected the existing concrete slab in preparation for a full epoxy floor system as part of their upcoming expansion into Northern Virginia. The shop floor includes multiple embedded steel anchor points, recessed tie-down pockets, and bolt sleeves that were previously used for vehicle straightening and frame equipment. Many of these anchors extend deep into the slab and will require specialized remediation to ensure a smooth, seamless, and coating-ready surface. Our proposed approach includes cleaning, priming, and permanently filling each recessed opening with high-strength repair mortar, followed by an epoxy-mortar cap and final grinding to create a uniform finish across the entire floor. This ensures long-term durability for a high-traffic commercial environment and delivers the professional, polished appearance expected in a modern autobody shop.
