We performed comprehensive preventative maintenance on a Generac standby generator for a home in Tomball. Our team conducted a full system diagnostic to ensure the unit remains reliable and ready for the next power outage. We carefully inspected both the external enclosure and the interior electrical transfer system to verify all components were functioning correctly. The service involved replacing the engine air filter and the oil filter, which we labeled with the date and current runtime hours for tracking. We tested the Duracell Ultra battery and inspected the Generac Smart Management Module and transfer switch for proper voltage and load shedding functionality. Using a digital clamp meter, we verified the electrical circuits and internal wiring to ensure the backup system provides safe and consistent power when needed.
