We performed comprehensive preventative maintenance on a Generac standby generator in Houston to ensure reliable backup power for the home. Our team conducted a thorough inspection of the internal engine components, checked the Evolution 2.0 controller for historical logs, and verified the charging system's performance. We replaced the engine oil, installed a new oil filter and air filter, and inspected the spark plugs for optimal ignition. Using a digital multimeter, we tested the lead-acid battery and confirmed the unit was correctly communicating with the transfer system. The generator was left fully operational and programmed with a consistent exercise schedule for long-term reliability.
