We installed a new residential standby generator system for this home in Houston. The project began with pouring a dedicated concrete slab foundation in the side yard to provide a level, secure base for the unit. Our team managed the full setup, including the placement of a Generac unit and the necessary electrical and fuel line connections. The installation involved significant electrical work, including the integration of a transfer switch and a new service disconnect panel. We also installed a specialized gas regulator and steel piping to connect the system to the existing natural gas meter. To finish the exterior, we placed dark landscaping gravel around the unit to ensure proper drainage and a clean aesthetic.
