This project focused on giving the family room a vibrant yet calming update. Our crew, led by Mynor, transformed the space with a beautiful soft blue tone, crisp white trim, and detailed prep work that made all the difference in the final finish. Family Room Highlights Walls: The walls were fully prepped, primed, sanded, and painted with two coats of Sherwin-Williams Cashmere in Bright Sailing Sky Blue (flat). This airy blue instantly brightens the room and adds personality without overwhelming the space. The flat finish gives the walls a smooth, elegant appearance. Ceiling: The ceiling was carefully prepped, caulked, cleaned, and painted with two coats of Sherwin-Williams Promar Ceiling Paint Bright White SW7007 (flat). The clean white ceiling enhances the natural light and makes the room feel taller and more open. Trim, Chair Rail, Doors, and Window Frames: The chair rail, base trim, doors, and window frames were sanded, primed, and painted with Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Enamel Bright White SW7007 (semigloss). The semigloss finish provides durability while creating sharp, crisp contrast against the soft blue walls. Cabinetry: Cabinet surfaces within the room were also refinished in Bright White SW7007 semigloss, tying the entire space together with a clean, cohesive look. Preparation and Craftsmanship This project followed Groovy Hues’ No Liquid Rule, meaning all floors and furnishings were fully protected before any work began. Glossy surfaces were sanded for proper adhesion, cracks and nail holes were filled, and primer was applied where needed to ensure a smooth, long lasting finish. Mynor completed a final walkthrough to ensure sharp lines, even coverage, and a beautifully refreshed family room ready for everyday living. ✨ This transformation shows how the right color paired with detailed trim work can completely change the feel of a main gathering space.
