This project focused on giving the kitchen a fresh, elevated look through professional cabinet refinishing. Our crew, led by Edy, transformed the cabinet doors, drawers, and boxes with a rich, modern color and a factory smooth sprayed finish that completely changed the feel of the space. Cabinet Refinishing Highlights Cabinet Doors, Drawers, and Boxes: All cabinet doors and drawers were carefully removed and taken offsite to our cabinet shop, where they were cleaned, degreased, sanded, and prepped for refinishing. This offsite process allows for controlled conditions and a smoother, more durable result. The exterior of the cabinet boxes was prepped on site to ensure a seamless match once the doors and drawers were reinstalled. Color and Finish: Cabinets were refinished in Sherwin-Williams Gallery Series Cabinets Succulent SW9650, a deep, modern green that adds warmth and sophistication to the kitchen. The color brings personality to the space while still feeling timeless and refined. Professional Spray Application: After applying two coats of primer, all surfaces received two sprayed finish coats using an HVLP sprayer. This process creates a smooth, factory like finish that looks clean, consistent, and built to last. Reinstallation and Details: Once fully cured, doors and drawers were carefully reinstalled and aligned. Hardware was reattached for a finished, polished look that ties the entire kitchen together. Preparation and Craftsmanship This project followed Groovy Hues’ detailed cabinet process, starting with thorough cleaning and degreasing, followed by sanding, priming, and fine sanding between coats. Floors and surrounding surfaces were protected throughout the on site work. Edy completed a final walkthrough to ensure smooth finishes, consistent color, and proper alignment across all cabinets. ✨ This project shows how professional cabinet refinishing can completely refresh a kitchen without the need for a full remodel
