Bold Bedroom Refresh in West Philadelphia
Groovy Hues Painting recently helped transform a primary bedroom in the vibrant Cobbs Creek neighborhood of West Philadelphia. Our client, Kirsten, wanted a fresh look that felt both unique and energizing—and our team delivered with precision and style. Scope of Work: This interior project focused on a full repaint of the primary bedroom, combining soft green tones with a bold statement trim. Our crew followed our signature process to ensure exceptional results: Preparation & Protection: Before any paint was opened, we fully protected the space following our “No Liquid Rule.” Floors were covered with red rosin paper, furniture was wrapped and centered, and all surfaces were prepped, sanded, and patched as needed to ensure a flawless finish. Ceiling & Walls: We primed and painted the ceiling and walls in Shamrock SW 6454, using Sherwin-Williams Promar for the ceiling (flat finish) and Cashmere for the walls (eggshell). This subtle, refreshing green instantly lifted the room’s feel. Accent Trim & Details: The standout feature of this room? The Mature Grape SW 6286 trim. Painted in a rich semigloss finish, this deep, luxurious purple was applied to all base trim, window frames, and both the closet and main doors. The high-contrast pairing created a modern and dramatic look while maintaining a cohesive feel. Added Value: We also provided Kirsten with a complimentary one-hour color consultation with a designer, helping her explore bold yet harmonious choices that brought her vision to life. As an extra courtesy, we patched a chip on an adjacent wall during our visit. Final Touches: Led by our attentive crew, the project wrapped with a full clean-up and a post-job walkthrough to make sure every detail met our high standards—and Kirsten’s.
