This kitchen transformation in Fishtown, Philadelphia was all about combining bold color with a smooth, high-end finish. Led by crew leader Edy, our team focused on delivering a cabinet upgrade that feels custom, durable, and visually striking. We began with a full cabinet refinishing process, removing all doors and drawers and transporting them offsite to be sprayed in a controlled environment. Each surface was thoroughly cleaned, degreased, sanded, and primed using BIN Shellac Primer to ensure proper adhesion and long-term durability. Using an HVLP spray system, we applied two finish coats of Sherwin-Williams Gallery Series in Green Onyx SW9128 (satin). This process creates a factory-like finish that is smooth, even, and far more durable than traditional brush and roll applications. The deep green tone adds a bold, modern look while still feeling refined and timeless. To complement the cabinetry, the kitchen walls were finished in Drift of Mist SW9166 (eggshell), providing a soft, neutral backdrop that allows the cabinets to stand out without overwhelming the space. All trim and baseboards were coated in white (semigloss) using Emerald Urethane Enamel for a clean, sharp contrast and added durability. Every detail, from prep to final installation, was handled with precision to ensure a flawless result. Once fully cured, the cabinet doors and hardware were reinstalled to complete the transformation.
