This interior painting project in South Philadelphia showcases how thoughtful color selection and detailed craftsmanship can completely transform a home's personality. Led by crew leader Mynor, our team refreshed the kitchen, staircase, back bedroom, hallway bathroom, and numerous trim details while also completing extensive drywall repairs and custom carpentry work. Preparation was a major part of this project. Before any paint was applied, we carefully protected all surrounding surfaces, repaired damaged drywall, patched imperfections, sanded glossy surfaces, primed where needed, and prepared each room for a smooth, durable finish. Additional work included repairing drywall around a skylight, removing and replacing cove base trim, and completing multiple drywall repairs to restore the home's surfaces before painting. The kitchen walls were finished in Sherwin-Williams Cashmere African Gray SW9162 (Eggshell), creating a sophisticated, contemporary feel. In the back bedroom, Sherwin-Williams Cashmere Moscow Midnight SW9142 (Eggshell) delivers a bold, cozy retreat full of character. The hallway bathroom received Sherwin-Williams Duration Home Coastal Plain SW6192 (Satin), bringing a fresh, calming atmosphere that's perfect for the space. Throughout the project, ceilings were painted in Behr Varnished Ivory MQ3-4 (Flat), while doors, trim, baseboards, window casings, and frames were finished in Behr Varnished Ivory MQ3-4 (Semi-Gloss), creating clean lines and lasting durability. One of the standout features of this project is the custom staircase transformation. The stair treads were stained using Minwax True Black Semi-Transparent stain, while the risers and stringers were refinished to complement the home's updated palette. Decorative staircase stringers were also painted in Behr Dolphin Fin 790C-3 (Semi-Gloss), adding another layer of custom detail and visual interest.
