Bold Exterior Revamp in Fishtown
Groovy Hues Painting recently completed a striking exterior update for a rowhome in the heart of Fishtown. With a focus on clean lines, modern contrast, and long-lasting protection, this project brought new energy and sophistication to a well-loved home. Project Overview: Targeted Areas: Our scope focused on the side of the house, including the entire bay window, siding, 2nd-floor soffit, and fascia. This project was all about precision and making each architectural element pop. Prep & Protection: As always, we followed our signature prep process—cleaning all surfaces, scraping and sanding problem areas, patching any cracks or holes, and spot-priming bare surfaces. All siding and trim were prepped to ensure maximum adhesion and smooth coverage. Color Palette & Finishes: We paired Sherwin-Williams Peppercorn SW 7674 in both satin and semi-gloss finishes with Green Onyx SW 9128 for contrast details. Peppercorn was used on the siding, cornice, bay window, and front door Green Onyx accented the cornice brackets and selective trim elements The result: a bold, modern aesthetic with deep, moody tones and refined detailing. Custom Detail Work: The bay window received a full prime and paint treatment for a polished, like-new finish. We also added subtle green accents to the front door frame and horizontal trim above the double doors, tying the entire exterior together. Final Walkthrough: Led by crew member Miguel, the team maintained a tidy worksite, executed daily clean-ups, and wrapped up with a final walkthrough to ensure complete client satisfaction.
