Commercial Interior & Exterior Painting Project – Center City, Philadelphia Groovy Hues Painting was proud to complete this comprehensive commercial project located at 220 S 8th Street in Center City Philadelphia, which included both interior and exterior transformations across multiple spaces in a professional setting. Exterior Work: We elevated the building’s street-level presence by painting all first-floor window frames and front entry doors and frames in Tricorn Black SW6258 (semi-gloss). This high-contrast, clean look added sophistication and curb appeal, while also offering long-lasting durability. Interior Work: Across the interior, we completed detailed painting in several rooms and high-traffic areas, using premium Sherwin-Williams products for a warm, polished, and cohesive finish: Treatment Rooms 1–3: Each room was updated with Bright White SW7007 on ceilings, Shitake SW9173 (eggshell) on walls, and Pure White SW7005 (semi-gloss) on base trim and doors. All surfaces were prepped, patched, sanded, and painted with two coats to ensure smooth, lasting coverage. Hallway & Waiting Area: Walls were painted in Threshold Taupe SW7501 (eggshell), while trim, doors, and frames received Threshold Taupe (semi-gloss) for contrast and durability. Ceilings were finished in Bright White SW7007, adding brightness to the space. Office & Vestibule: The office received a refined palette of Shitake and Pure White, while the vestibule incorporated a decorative chair rail and featured Shitake (semi-gloss) with Tricorn Black entry doors for a striking touch. Prep & Professionalism: Throughout the project, our team followed strict preparation guidelines including surface protection, sanding, caulking, and daily cleanup. A final walkthrough ensured every detail met our client's expectations. This project is a great example of how thoughtful color choices and high-quality craftsmanship can modernize a commercial space while creating a warm and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike.
