Groovy Hues Painting recently wrapped up a sleek and impactful exterior update for a Northeast Philly homeowner, focused on bold details that add curb appeal without a full façade repaint. Scope of Work: Led by crew leader Jose, this project targeted specific exterior elements—namely the garage door, front shutters, and entry railing. Each surface was thoroughly cleaned, scraped, sanded, and spot-primed to prepare for a glossy, long-lasting finish. The project followed our standard process including daily cleanup, full material organization, and a final post-inspection walkthrough with the homeowner. Paint & Finishes Used: Shutters: Latitude Tricorn Black in gloss finish – striking and sharp against the existing siding Garage Door & Railing: Industrial Enamel Alkyd in Tricorn Black gloss – built for durability and high-impact shine on metal surfaces Project Highlights: All surfaces were cleaned using appropriate soft wash or pressure wash techniques as needed Peeling areas were scraped and sanded, with cracks caulked and holes patched for a smooth base Two full coats of Sherwin-Williams premium exterior products were applied to all targeted areas The black gloss finish added modern contrast and elevated the home's entry experience Paint delivery sourced directly from SW Washington Ave to ensure the freshest materials Final Result: What began as minor touch-ups ended in a bold refresh. The high-gloss black finish brought crisp definition and renewed character to the home’s front exterior—proof that small changes can make a major difference.
