Kitchen Cabinet Refinishing in South Philadelphia

Our crew, led by Jose, completed a full kitchen cabinet transformation in this South Philly home — refinishing both upper and lower cabinets for a smooth, factory-quality finish that completely refreshed the space. Cabinet Work Top & Bottom Cabinets: All cabinet doors, drawers, and box exteriors were removed, cleaned, degreased, sanded, and primed with two coats of shellac primer for maximum adhesion and stain blocking. After priming, each piece was sprayed with two finish coats of Gallery Series Satin in Mountain Air SW6224, creating a soft, airy blue-gray tone that brightens the kitchen while maintaining a sophisticated, modern look. Once fully cured, the doors and drawers were reinstalled and hardware replaced, completing the transformation with precision. Preparation & Quality As always, the Groovy Hues team followed our “No Liquid Rule” — protecting all surfaces and ensuring the workspace was clean and safe. Cabinets were sprayed using an HVLP system for a flawless, even finish.
