Smooth Walls and a Fresh Foundation for the Entire Space
This project was all about creating a clean slate. Our crew, led by Jose S, transformed the interior by addressing uneven surfaces first, then finishing everything with smooth, even paint for a space that now feels calm, polished, and ready to be enjoyed. Interior Highlights Full Wall Preparation and Skim Coating: Walls throughout the space were skim coated to correct areas where boards had previously been removed. This extra step created a level, uniform surface and set the foundation for a truly professional finish. Once cured, all walls were sanded smooth to eliminate imperfections and ensure flawless paint adhesion. Wall Painting: After prep, walls were painted with Sherwin-Williams Cashmere, chosen for its smooth application and refined appearance. Two full coats were applied to achieve even coverage and a soft, consistent finish across the entire space. Ceilings and Trim: Ceilings were prepped, caulked, cleaned, and painted for a clean overhead finish. Doors, windows, baseboards, and trim were sanded, patched, and painted to match the refreshed look of the walls, giving the space a cohesive and finished feel from top to bottom. Preparation and Craftsmanship This project followed Groovy Hues’ No Liquid Rule, with floors and surfaces fully protected before work began. Furniture was moved and wrapped, hardware was masked, and all prep work was completed using dust controlled sanding systems. Jose completed a final walkthrough to ensure smooth walls, clean lines, and a result that feels intentional and professionally finished. ✨ This project shows how proper surface prep, especially skim coating, makes all the difference in creating a space that looks clean, calm, and truly refreshed.
