Soft Neutrals and Clean Lines in a Philadelphia Home

This project focused on refreshing the most lived in areas of the home and improving flow between levels. Our crew, led by Mynor, updated the living room, kitchen, stairwell, hallway, and powder room with calming neutrals, bright ceilings, and crisp trim that instantly made the home feel lighter and more cohesive. Interior Highlights Living Room and Kitchen: The walls were painted in Sherwin-Williams Cashmere Sedate Gray SW6169 (eggshell), a balanced neutral that adds warmth without feeling heavy. Select feature walls, including the front door wall and kitchen high counter wall, were finished in Terrain SW9613 (eggshell) to create subtle contrast and visual interest. Base trim, window frames, door frames, and closet surfaces were finished in Pure White SW7005 (semigloss) for a clean, polished edge that frames each space beautifully. Hallway and Stairwell: Stairwell and hallway walls were refreshed using Terrain SW9613 (eggshell) in the upstairs stairwell and Sedate Gray SW6169 (eggshell) throughout the remaining areas to maintain a smooth transition from floor to floor. Stair risers, railings, frames, and trim were carefully sanded, primed, and painted in Pure White SW7005 (semigloss), giving these high traffic areas a finished, intentional look. Powder Room: The first floor powder room was updated with Sherwin-Williams Duration Home Interior Sedate Gray SW6169 (eggshell) on the walls for durability and easy maintenance. The ceiling was painted in Bright White SW7007, helping the smaller space feel brighter and more open. Trim and frames were completed in Pure White SW7005 (semigloss) to tie in with the rest of the home. Preparation and Craftsmanship This project included extensive prep to ensure a smooth final result. Shelving, pulley systems, cubbies, and TV mounts were removed and patched. Walls, trim, and stair components were sanded using dust controlled systems, caulked, primed, and finished with two coats of premium Sherwin-Williams products. Following Groovy Hues’ No Liquid Rule, all floors and furnishings were fully protected before work began. Mynor completed a final walkthrough to ensure every surface felt clean, consistent, and thoughtfully finished. ✨ This project shows how thoughtful color placement and detailed prep can elevate everyday spaces and create a home that feels calm, connected, and easy to live in.
