Our crew, led by Mynor, completed a dramatic and detailed refresh of a third floor bedroom in this Rittenhouse home. With full wallpaper removal, skim coating, priming, and high quality Sherwin-Williams finishes, the space now looks completely renewed with smooth walls, crisp trim, and rich color contrast. Interior Work Walls: The wallpaper was fully removed across all four walls, followed by complete skim coating to create a perfectly smooth foundation. Walls were primed with Latex Primer and finished with two coats of Sherwin-Williams Cashmere Basil SW6194 (eggshell), giving the room a warm, earthy, and modern green tone. Ceiling: The ceiling was prepped, sanded, caulked, and cleaned before receiving two coats of Sherwin-Williams Promar Ceiling Paint Bright White SW7007 (flat) for a bright and even finish. Trim, Baseboards, Doors, and Window Frames: All trim surfaces were sanded, repaired where needed, and refinished with Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Enamel Bright White SW7007 (semigloss) to add crisp, durable contrast against the earthy wall color. Bookshelves: The front of the built-in bookshelves was sanded, cleaned, and painted in Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Enamel Basil SW6184 (satin) for a tone on tone finish that ties seamlessly with the room’s palette while adding a refined, furniture grade look. Preparation and Quality This project required extensive prep, including full wallpaper removal, heavy skim coating, sanding with Festool dustless systems, patching, caulking, and priming. Our team followed Groovy Hues’ No Liquid Rule, protecting all surfaces before work began. The room was finished with two coats of premium Sherwin-Williams products across every surface.
