Patio Edge Stabilization & Romex Upgrade
This project involved stabilizing a 40-ft patio edge where tiles had been sinking due to erosion and failed mortar edging. Our crew carefully lifted the edge tiles, rebuilt the base with compacted road base and bedding sand, and installed a raised timber retaining wall section for added support. A new snap edge was added for long-term stability. The entire patio was refreshed by removing old grout and applying Romex jointing mortar, a durable, permeable product that resists weeds, cracking, and erosion. We also improved the adjacent garden bed with organic soil to prepare for native erosion-control planting. The result is a cleaner, stronger, and lower-maintenance patio that blends beautifully with the property’s natural setting and ocean views.
