Complete Backyard Transformation with Eco-Lawn, Xeriscape, and New Chain Link Fence Installation

This project involved a full backyard transformation designed to improve sustainability, functionality, and safety. Starting from a blank slate, we removed a high-maintenance lawn, invasive species, and several stumps to prepare the site for a fresh and purposeful design. One of the key upgrades was the installation of a brand-new chain link fence. With no existing boundary in place, the fence was essential to define the space and create a secure area for the client’s dog to roam freely without the risk of escape—blending practicality with peace of mind. We replaced the traditional lawn with an eco-friendly grass-and-clover mix that requires less water and upkeep while supporting soil health. The landscape was further enhanced with a xeriscape zone featuring river rock, driftwood accents, and a selection of drought-tolerant native and adaptive plants. The result is a beautiful, low-maintenance outdoor environment that balances West Coast aesthetics with ecological and functional needs.
