3D landscape design and renders for a front and backyard in The Heights, San Antonio, TX. DESIGN GOALS: The homeowners wanted a usable, low-maintenance yard with real curb appeal in the front and a backyard that makes the most of a sloped lot and a covered patio. They needed to see the whole plan, day and night, before committing to construction. WHAT THE DESIGN INCLUDES: Our 2D plans and 3D renders show a tiered backyard with chop block stone edging stepping down to artificial turf terraces, a stepping stone path from the covered patio, river rock and mulch beds, and a cedar fence line. In the front, the design adds an artificial turf lawn, tree rings around the existing trees, a curved planting bed with drought-tolerant plants, and landscape lighting that highlights trees and the home at dusk. WHY 3D DESIGN: Aerial, daytime and nighttime views let the client see how grades, hardscape, plants and lighting work together, make material decisions with confidence and avoid surprises during the build.
