We recently had the opportunity to help a San Antonio homeowner completely transform their basic builder-grade backyard into a custom, low-maintenance oasis tailored to their lifestyle. The original space was simple—just grass and three trees—but the homeowner had a bigger vision. After scheduling a free consultation, we worked closely to design a backyard that would remain green year-round, require minimal upkeep, and include easy access from the front yard, plus a personal putting green for added enjoyment. To bring this vision to life, we started by removing all existing grass and trees. We then installed our commercial-grade weed barrier to prevent any future weed growth. Once prepped, we leveled the area and installed a custom chop stone border to separate the artificial turf, rocks, and fence line—helping to maintain a clean look and keep out unwanted grasses. For privacy and year-round greenery, we planted Eagleston Hollies along the fence line and surrounded them with Laredo rock, creating a clean, modern, and low-maintenance aesthetic. The heart of the yard features our premium, pet-friendly artificial turf with a custom 3-hole putting green and fringe—perfect for both relaxing and practicing short game skills. To tie the space together, we added two distinct paver pathways: one leading to a designated trash can area with large stepping pavers, and another in Scandina Grey pavers that connects the backyard to the front yard, finished off with a clean edge of charcoal 4x8 Holland pavers.
