Front yard design and build with a Belgard paver walkway and entry, limestone boulders and Texas Blend river rock in Whisper Hollow, San Antonio, TX. THE CHALLENGE: This brick home had a cracked concrete walk, an underused entry courtyard, overgrown trees and tired beds that did not match the architecture. WHAT WE DID: Working from our 3D design, we saw-cut and removed about 30 ft of old concrete sidewalk and installed 460 sq ft of Belgard Dimensions 12 pavers in Danville Beige with a Suede Brown soldier course for the walkway and entry, then sealed them with Trident Hurricane Cat 5. We cleaned and reset 237 ft of the existing limestone chopstone border on a new concrete footing with mortared joints, laid 5 yards of 1-4 inch Texas Blend river rock over weed barrier, screened and reused the existing decomposed granite, and set three natural limestone boulders (900-1,500 lb each). We raised the oak canopy 8-12 ft, removed a pine, trimmed the Texas sage, added enriched topsoil and new plants, and installed eight smart soffit lights. THE RESULT: A welcoming, water-wise front yard with a polished entry and strong curb appeal day and night. See the 3D design and lighting in our other Whisper Hollow showcases. Scope: Belgard paver walkway and entry, paver sealing, chopstone border reset, Texas Blend river rock, limestone boulders, tree trimming and removal, planting, smart soffit lighting, 3D landscape design.
