We recently completed a stunning front yard landscape makeover that perfectly aligned with our customer's needs and vision. It all started with a free consultation, where we learned that the grass in their yard had trouble growing, and they desired a low-maintenance solution without sacrificing the lush greenery they loved. They also wanted to extend their driveway to create a seamless walkway from their car to the sidewalk. To begin, we removed all the dying grass, giving the area a fresh start. Next, we laid down a weed barrier to prevent any unwanted weeds from sprouting through the hardscape. We then leveled the area for the driveway extension, where we installed beautiful pavers that seamlessly connect the driveway to the yard. Along the edge, we added a lovely row of plants to enhance the aesthetic appeal. To separate the yard from the driveway, we used a composite border, filling in the space with crushed limestone, which provided a neat, clean look. For a striking contrast, we used Laredo rock throughout the yard, giving it a rustic, textured feel. In the center of the yard, we incorporated shadow rock, arranged in a way that mimics the natural flow of a dry riverbed. This design brought both beauty and functionality, while drought-tolerant plants throughout the yard added vibrant touches with minimal upkeep required. On the left side of the yard, we designed a charming paver pathway that leads from the entrance of the home to the side yard. The curving path added character, while we filled in the gaps with lush monkey grass (Liriope muscari), creating a unique and visually appealing detail. Our customers were thrilled with the outcome—finally achieving a low-maintenance, beautiful front yard that still preserved the greenery they cherished. It was a perfect blend of function and style, proving that a landscape can be both beautiful and easy to care for. At the heart of this transformation, we designed spaces built around them!
