We recently completed a project for a customer who wanted to update the look of her flower bed and enhance her home's curb appeal. The process began with a free consultation, where we listened to their vision and took measurements to ensure that every detail would be precisely tailored to their needs. The customer wanted to upgrade her flower bed from the standard builder’s design to create a more modern and stylish look. To start, we cleared out the old mulch, plants, and border, preparing the area for a fresh new design. We then installed a weed barrier to prevent future weed growth, reducing the need for constant upkeep and ensuring the bed stays neat and tidy. Next, we added a cream chop block border, mortaring it into place to prevent any shifting over time. This clean, timeless border was topped off with red brick to complement the home’s exterior and tie the design together with a matching, cohesive look. To create an elegant and natural aesthetic, we filled the flower bed with Laredo rock and shadow rock down the middle, forming the appearance of a dry river bed that added texture and visual interest. To finish off the design, we selected drought-tolerant plants that would not only add a beautiful pop of color but also be low-maintenance and well-suited to the local climate. These plants brought the area to life, creating a vibrant and welcoming space. The end result was a stunning flower bed that transformed the front of the home, giving it a more modern, cohesive, and refined look while also reducing future maintenance. The combination of rock, plants, and thoughtful design has truly elevated the curb appeal and functionality of the space.
