We completed a comprehensive attic insulation and air sealing project for this residential property in Washington, PA. Our team addressed significant energy loss by identifying and sealing gaps around recessed lighting fixtures and electrical penetrations throughout the attic floor. We took advantage of the access as the customer was renovated a living area. We worked across the entire footprint to ensure a continuous thermal barrier between the living space and the unfinished attic. To achieve optimal thermal performance, we applied expanding spray foam sealant to critical air leak points before installing blown-in cellulose insulation over the existing joists. This combination of materials effectively blocks drafts and improves the overall energy efficiency of the home. The resulting upgrade provides a more comfortable indoor environment while helping to reduce monthly utility expenses.
