We completed an attic insulation and air sealing project to improve the energy efficiency of this Pittsburgh home. Our team began by clearing the attic space and preparing the surfaces for professional air sealing. We also installed new decking and secure plywood walkways to provide safe access to the home’s mechanical systems. To stop energy loss, we applied ZypFoam to seal gaps around electrical junctions, plumbing vents, and bathroom exhaust fan housings. We replaced old fiberglass batts with high-performance loose-fill Trusoft Cellulose insulation, ensuring consistent coverage across the entire attic floor, to a value of R-49. This upgrade significantly improved the home's thermal envelope and moisture management.
