Failed furnace and air conditioner were replaced with a new modulating furnace paired with a heat pump. This is the best of both worlds with a high efficiency heat pump to heat and cook and a furnace to handle the most frigid Pittsburgh temperatures. The second floor and first floor of this home were differing greatly in temperatures. We replaced the duct work and installed new duct work to accommodate zoning controls. Now there is a thermostat for both floors setting each floor to the desired temperature. All controlled by Ecobee thermostats and backed up with some Aprilaire air cleaner and humidifier.
