Church Reroof: 40 Year Impact Rated Architectural Shingles
In January of 2023 we were contacted by a representative of this church to come out and inspect the roof for storm damage. An inspection was completed by one of our reps and potential damage was found. However, after months of reinspections by many different adjusters and engineers, the claim on the roof was denied. The church decided to moved forward with the project and fund it themselves. The orignial roof was many decades old, and the old green shingles were in extreme contrast with the brand new roof on the secondary building. This project was a big undertaking. Not only was the roof extremely high and steep, but one slope was so close to the power lines that the power company had to shut down the entire block so our employees could safely work. Not only did we install new shingles, but we also installed a new PVC roof at the base of the steeple. During the production process we did accidentally break a small awning over a side door, but we promptly fixed it. We installed a 40 Year Class 3 Impact Rated Architectural Shingle (Highlander) manufactured by Malarkey Roofing products, and 60 Mil PVC by IB Roof Systems. This church now has a new roof and a 5 year workmanship warranty.
