Air Duct Dryer Vent Cleaning Dryer Vent Repair Encapsulation
We completed a full air duct and dryer vent cleaning at a residence in Howey‑in‑the‑Hills. During our inspection, we found significant dust accumulation throughout the ductwork, air handler, and blower fan. Several supply boots also showed suspected microbial growth. To address this, we cleaned and sealed the affected boots with mastic to help prevent future growth and maintain system integrity. Once in the attic, we also found suspected microbial growth on the transfer boxes for both the supply and return sides. These were cleaned and sealed as well. In addition, the dryer vent pipe was disconnected from the roof. To correct this issue, we installed a proper collar and plate and sealed it to the roof connection using mastic. Using our high‑powered vacuum truck, we removed the majority of debris from the system, restoring clean and efficient airflow. Our before‑and‑after photos clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of the cleaning and the improvements achieved. To ensure strong suction and protect the home during service, we sealed off vents as needed. This helped contain dust and maintain a clean environment throughout the process. We also sanitized the air handler unit using Decon 30 to help reduce microbial presence and support healthier indoor air quality. The dryer vent on the rooftop exhaust vent showed a substantial buildup of lint. This type of accumulation can restrict airflow and increase fire risk if left unaddressed. We used our high-pressure, compressed air system to thoroughly remove lint, debris, and any nesting materials from the entire exhaust line. This process restores proper airflow and enhances dryer efficiency, helping reduce energy costs. Before-and-after photos were provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of our cleaning method. Since most Florida homes vent through the roof, we recommend annual dryer vent cleaning to maintain safety, improve performance, and prevent costly issues. For optimal performance, we recommend professional air duct cleaning every three years. Routine maintenance helps reduce dust buildup, improve airflow, and promote a cleaner, healthier living space.
