We recently completed a dryer vent cleaning at a home in Davenport. While the vent itself showed minimal buildup, we identified two critical issues during inspection: a complete disconnect in the attic piping and a damaged transition hose behind the dryer. To restore proper airflow and safety, we replaced the transition hose and repaired the attic pipe using a collar and plate, sealing the connection with mastic for durability. In Florida, where dryer vents typically exit through the roof, we recommend annual servicing to prevent lint buildup, improve drying efficiency, and reduce fire risk
