During a recent service visit in Clermont, our team identified and addressed a significant lint buildup within the rooftop dryer exhaust vent. This type of obstruction can severely restrict airflow and presents an elevated fire hazard if left unmaintained. Access to the vent was further complicated by the presence of multiple solar panels surrounding the rooftop exhaust, limiting our maneuverability. Despite these challenges, we successfully cleared the entire exhaust line using our high-pressure compressed air system. This process removed accumulated lint, debris, and nesting materials, fully restoring proper airflow. The result: improved dryer performance, enhanced energy efficiency, and potential reductions in utility costs. To document the effectiveness of our work, we provided before-and-after photos of the vent system. Given that most Florida homes vent dryers through the roof, we strongly recommend scheduling annual dryer vent cleanings to maintain safety, extend appliance life, and prevent costly repairs.
