Air Duct & Dryer Exhaust Source Removal — Groveland
Dust deposits on the return grille/frame and flex-duct liner, together with lint inside the dryer roof termination, prompted source-removal work at this Groveland home. A lined return cavity also showed a worn patch with exposed fibrous material; cleaning does not replace missing facing, so the lining condition needs separate evaluation. The story begins with the roof hood, lint deposits and accessible return surfaces. Work photos then show the large collection hose at the horizontal air handler, truck-mounted vacuum equipment, and compressed-air agitation at ceiling supply openings. Blue masking isolates selected registers to help direct suction. Agitation loosens accumulated material while negative suction carries it toward collection outside the occupied area and helps contain dislodged dust. Dryer-service photos show air lines and loose lint at the roof work area; removing lint helps reduce combustible buildup and exhaust restriction. Later views document plenum access patches with mastic and reinforcing fiber mesh, showing restoration of service access. The final flex-liner detail still shows surface discoloration and pale speckling; no repair of the worn return lining is claimed. Incomplete review draft: final dryer connection/termination views and clearer matched duct/grille after views are still needed to finish the before/process/after story. The available photographs do not establish measured airflow gains or complete correction of the lining issue.
