We completed a modern residential addition in Pittsburgh that integrated contemporary design with the home's existing brick architecture. The project involved constructing a new structure on a concrete block foundation featuring a shed roof with exposed wooden rafters. For the exterior, we installed matte black vertical panel siding and matching dark-framed windows and double glass doors. We also integrated a new chimney stack and a wide wooden eave overhang to enhance the architectural profile. The finished addition creates a striking visual contrast while significantly expanding the home's functional square footage.
