Premium exterior restoration and deep structural repair in Salt Lake City. For this targeted project (~394 sq ft on the left elevation), the goal was to preserve the home's historic charm by perfectly matching the existing natural wood siding while significantly upgrading the wall's structural integrity and energy efficiency. Deep Structural Rebuild: Conducted a full tear-off of the failing exterior, including the underlying sheathing. We then supplied and installed brand-new 7/16" OSB rated sheathing to create a flawless, secure foundation. Advanced Insulation & Weatherization: Dramatically improved the home's thermal performance by wrapping the entire wall in ESP Low-E insulated house wrap, followed by a layer of Tyvek HomeWrap and Grace VYCOR Plus self-adhered flashing. Authentic Material Restoration: Supplied and installed premium Cedar Square Channel siding to replicate the original horizontal 5" reveal. Seamless Color Match: To ensure the repaired section blended invisibly with the rest of the property, the new cedar siding and wood trims were custom-painted to exactly match the home's existing aesthetic using Behr "Polar Bear".
