This project involved a major second-story addition and full structural renovation of an existing 1,500 SF ranch home in Smyrna, GA. Our team added approximately 1,100 SF of new living space, significantly expanding and modernizing the home while maintaining structural integrity throughout the process. The addition included 4 new bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and major interior reconfiguration to create a completely updated two-story layout. The project utilized a full engineered roof truss system along with engineered i-joists for the new floor system to ensure structural performance and efficiency. Due to the complexity of the project, extensive structural and foundation work was required, including new concrete footings, basement foundation wall replacement, framing reinforcement, and major load-bearing modifications. The project also included full electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, drywall, roofing, and interior/exterior finish work. From engineering coordination and permitting to final construction, this was one of the most comprehensive residential transformations completed by our team.
