Ben Root Skatepark
A 7,500 SF community-driven revitalization project that transformed a long-standing local park into a dynamic space for skateboarders, BMX riders, and scooter users of all skill levels. Built through seven years of collaboration between local organizations, Tribal and city governments, nonprofits, and user groups, the project was funded through community fundraising, donations, and state grants. Janicki General Contracting partnered with a premier skate park design-build firm to deliver a high-quality facility, combining precise grading, expert concrete work, and thoughtful design. Existing site features—including a large rock, fire hydrant, and former asphalt loop—were creatively integrated into the park, preserving its character while introducing a modern pump track. The result is a vibrant regional destination that reflects the vision and spirit of the community.
