First Presbyterian Church
We recently had the honor of restoring the roof for First Presbyterian Church, a historic building in need of a durable, long-lasting solution. This project involved installing the Vic West True Nature Ridge Slate metal shingles in a Silver Springs finish, framing in a previously flat section of the roof, and installing a new 6” gutter system for enhanced water management. Challenges and Solutions The church’s roof had been replaced just seven years prior by another contractor using standard shingles, but due to poor workmanship, it suffered from extensive leaks. Understanding the church's need for a permanent solution, we installed high-quality, lifetime metal shingles that would withstand the elements for years to come without the need for replacement. Working within a very tight schedule and limited access points, our team completed the entire scope of work in under three weeks. Safety was a primary focus throughout, especially given the building’s unique structure and limited access points. Results This project not only provided First Presbyterian Church with a beautifully finished, high-performance roof but also peace of mind knowing that this roofing solution will protect their historic structure for decades to come.
